? Have you heard about Traffic Jam Whopper? Right now, Burger King is rockin’ market messaging.
Last week we shared via Facebook how Burger King has boldly launched new “Real Meals,” developed around the concept that no one is happy all the time. Real Meals include the Pissed Meal, the Blue Meal, the Salty Meal, the YAAAS Meal and the DGAF Meal.
In another direct swipe at McDonalds, Burger King has also taken on old Ronald, with a series of ads that proclaim, “Birthdays Should Be Happy.” The message comes paired with photos of children terrified by Ronald-esque clown types.
? Now Burger King is following ‘clown-free’ birthday party messaging with a new concept: “Traffic Jam Whopper.”
Rolling out the new offering in Mexico City, with Los Angeles, San Paulo and Shanghai following soon, commuters will have access to Burger King delivery service direct to their traffic jammed vehicle.
Does it work? Although the novelty could wear off over time, during its first week, Burger King delivery orders in Mexico City increased by 63 percent.
